Of court matters...

Peter C. Newman is being sued over the ownership of the Mulroney tapes and the profits derived therefrom.
The side issue is going to be how to recoup any money from the gentleman as his tax status does not quite match up to the nationalistic fervor he displays in his writings. As in "I love this country deeply but don't ask me to pay tax here".
After all, if the Martin family company can get away with it, why can't Peter?
Amazing that Goodale still has all that money to throw around.
After 10 years of brave noises by the RCMP, the last of of the Airbus/Eurocopter/Schreiber stuff was thrown out of court in Toronto this week.
God only knows how much was spent in this endless, fruitless effort. Stevie Cameron and Allan Rock will have to find somewhere else to slake their thirst for justice.
Speaking of Rock, he'd better pray that his party makes it in the upcoming election. Otherwise, his tenure at the UN and the 5th Avenue appartment that comes with it will come to an abrupt end. One assumes he can always find work as a lobbyist.
Starting Monday in Montreal, Canada will play host to a world conference on the environment, under the Chairmanship of our own inimitable Stephane Dion. This against the background of the worst report card on the planet garnered by Canada for its Kyoto compliance record.
Now that's chutzpah.
